This is a short and (semi) sweet song written by my inspiring friend and brilliant hoosier musician Sir Deja Doog (water brother's trust, brother dolphin, eric alexander). Doog has been a sublime underground force for me in the past decade, coaxing strange, spirited, serious, funny, lonely, and courageous songs out of the shadows. The fact that they usually go creeping back into the cracks when he's done playing them is a tragedy, but he has graciously allowed me to share this one here for the HMC.
lyrics
hate to see you sweat
in the light of my love
if you're feeling judged
then you are the Judge
What you running from?
what you trying to hide?
look into my eyes!
Look into my eyes!
YOU ARE A BRILLIANT SHINING DIAMOND
IN THE CROWN OF THE ALMIGHTY
YOU ARE TERRIFIED BY THE PLAY OF SHADOWS
DANCING ACROSS THE WALL
and that is all
